Scott Doughty
Scott Doughty holds an MFA in directing with an emphasis in new play development from the University of Idaho. He is a multi-year collaborator at the 7 Devil’s Playwrighting Conference. With over 200 show credits on his resume, Scott has worked for the Ensemble Studio Theatre’s new play initiative (New York), and Hand-to-Mouth Theatre (Portland, Oregon). His production of The Restore, by Merridawn Duckler, was performed at Seattle Repertory Theatre by arrangement with the Northwest Playwright’s Alliance as part of their 2015 showcase. He is the originating director of Bloody Murder by Ed Sala, which was performed in more theatres in America from 2016-2017 than any other play. He is a former instructor at Gonzaga University and Spokane Falls Community College, where he taught acting, directing, and playwrighting.
