Rochelle Smith is originally from Trinidad and Tobago, and has lived in central New Jersey, Pittsburgh, New Haven Connecticut, and Washington DC; Idaho is by orders of magnitude the most rural place she’s ever called home (although New Jersey is the Garden State).  She is a humanities librarian, a sea shanty singer, and an avid mender.  She has an MFA in poetry, but only writes prose, just to be perverse.
