Pamela Kingsley

Pamela Kingsley’s plays have been produced by theatres around the U.S., most recently in Boston, Cleveland, Columbia (MO), Kansas City, Los Angeles, Louisville, New Haven, NYC, the State University of New York (Brockport), San Francisco, Santa Fe, and Spokane. Her play Mother's Day was a 2019 finalist for the James Stevenson Prize for Short Comedic Plays and won the "Audience Choice Award” at the 31st Playwrights' Forum Festival at Spokane Civic Theatre. In October 2021, Pam had three new works selected for Stage Left Theatre's “Masterpiece Monologues” series. Pam was then commissioned to write and subsequently performed a solo piece, Sleepwalking, which was featured in the EMPOWER WOMEN Festival at Stage Left and streamed online. Sleepwalking was also selected to be presented in the New Media Library for Irondale Ensemble’s 2022 ON WOMEN Festival in New York City. The play was streamed online and awarded an audience choice prize. In June 2022, Pam’s plays Finding Mother Courage and Boxes were produced as part of the 32nd Playwrights’ Forum Festival. Boxes won the “Audience Choice Award.” Both The Sitting and Boxes will be produced as part of TheatreWorks Humanity Festival in 2023. Pam’s most recent work, a one woman play Minister of Sorrow, will receive a workshop performance by Spokane Playwrights Lab in Spring 2023. Pam is a member of the Dramatists Guild, NPX and Women Playwrights Honor Roll. She holds a BFA in Theatre Performance and a MA in Theatre Education. Pam has taught and adjudicated acting and playwriting throughout her career. She is a veteran actress and director with more than 200 productions to her credit and was most recently seen as “Roberta” in Admissions at Stage Left Theatre. Pam makes Spokane her home.
