Nicholas Deshais is the editor of the Inlander, where he oversees the entire editorial operation and helms news coverage. He has worked for various news outlets, including Portland’s Willamette Week, the Spokesman-Review, Northwest Public Broadcasting and Washington State Magazine. His writing and reporting have appeared in the Seattle Times, the Detroit News and the Missoulian, as well as on Spokane Public Radio, OPB, Jefferson Public Radio, KUOW and KHQ-TV. In 2012, he was named a finalist for the prestigious Livingston Award for Young Journalists, and in 2016 he was a Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellow at the University of Michigan.
