Get Lit! Festival 2023

Come meet and mingle with EWU’s talented MFA alumni for a celebratory brunch and open-mic. Everyone is welcome to stop by for refreshments, socialize, and hear readings from current students and alumni from EWU’s MFA program in creative writing. This event will be a hybrid VoiceOver (a student-run reading series that has been running in the MFA program for decades!) and open-mic, so we will have 3 featured readers who are current students in Eastern's MFA program and the event will be hosted by the hosts of VoiceOver!

If you’re a current student or graduate of Eastern’s MFA program, please come join us and sign up to share your work! Readings will be 3-5 minutes — the general public is also welcome to sign up to read, but priority will be given to Eastern MFA students and alumni. Beer, wine, mimosas, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks will be available!

We will also have a team of alums who will be hosting Literary Trivia following the readings! Bar area will be restricted to 21+ and readings and trivia will take place in the lounge.

To attend this event, you must purchase a Book Fair & Events Pass which covers entry into our two-day Book Fair and all 17 events taking place at the Montvale Event Center. Tickets will go on sale Monday, March 20th at 8am.
