Join us for a virtual reading and conversation on how physical and mental health impact our lives and can inform our writing. Writers Nicole Zelniker, Willa Schneberg, and Matthew Spaur all have real world experience helping people with various challenges to their health and well-being, and their experiences deeply inform their work and worldview. Willa offers a unique perspective as both a practicing poet and counselor; Matthew’s memoir chronicles his experiences with illness and loss within his own family; and Nicole’s experience with chronic illness informs her work both as a writer and as founder and editor-in-chief of Knee Brace Press, which publishes work on chronic illness and mental health. Following readings from all three writers, Nicole will lead a conversation.

This event is virtual and will premiere at the time scheduled above. YouTube link coming soon! *Note that the authors may be present during the live chat so come prepared to meet them virtually and ask them about their work!

Surveys help our program obtain critical grant funding. Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete our survey after you've attended any of our events! If you enjoyed your experience and want to donate to our program, please use this link!
