In this panel, six authors from the U.S. who have lived abroad will engage in a cross-cultural dialogue about the importance of place and identity in their writing. The authors will share notes about the similarities and differences in their places and experiences and how these have been translated to the page, using specific examples from their own work. The panelists include Krista DeBehnke Attana (Costa Rica), Jim Hagengruber (India, Serbia, and others), Jessica Lakritz (Mexico), and Monet Thomas (China). The panel will be moderated by Jeff Fearnside (Kazakhstan) and Wendy Fox (Turkey).

This event is virtual and will premiere at the time scheduled above. YouTube link coming soon! *Note that the authors may be present during the live chat so come prepared to meet them virtually and ask them about their work!
